Man appears in court in connection with Gloucestershire stabbing

A man has appeared in court after being charged in connection with an alleged stabbing in Gloucester on Tuesday afternoon.
Thomas George-Pain, 34 and of Russell Street, Gloucester has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent and possession of a knife in a public place.
He appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court yesterday, Thursday 6 April, and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear in court again next month.
Both charges relate to an incident on Eastgate Street in Gloucester on Tuesday 4 April.
A man aged in his 30s who sustained an injury has since been discharged from hospital.
