A man who repeatedly threatened people with violence has been banned from entering two towns in the Forest of Dean.

Nick Hughes, of Laburnum Road in Linden, was handed an Anti-Social Behaviour Injunction at Cheltenham and Gloucester County Court on February 29th while serving a previous sentence.

It comes after a number of incidents involving the 30-year-old engaging in violent behaviour, intimidation and threats.

The order has now been activated following Hughes' release.

Under the court order, Hughes is prohibited from entering Cinderford and Coleford at any time between now and February 28th next year.

He's also forbidden from -

  • engaging in conduct which causes or is capable of causing alarm or harassment or distress to any person in Gloucestershire;
  • using or threatening to use violence towards any person in Gloucestershire;
  • contacting, either directly or indirectly, a named person.

If Hughes breaches any part of the order, he could face arrest.

Anyone who witnesses him violating his ASBI is urged to contact the police on 101.
