Man assaulted with bottle in Stroud

A man was hit over the head with a bottle during an assault in Stroud.

The man was taken to hospital with facial injuries - after it happened around 8.15pm on Wednesday 7 December.

It is believed the group had followed the victim as he walked along Gloucester Street and onto High Street before the assault happened.

Police have issued CCTV footage of a group of 16 or 17 year-old they want to speak to in connection.
