Man arrested in connection with rape in Stroud

Police investigating the rape of a woman in the Dudbridge area of Stroud have made an arrest.
A 20-year-old man from Stroud was arrested yesterday on suspicion of rape and has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Police say the incident took place in Dudbridge Road, Stroud, on Friday 22 July at around midday.
A 41-year-old man from Stroud, who had previously been arrested on suspicion of rape in connection with this incident, has been informed that he will face no further police action in connection with this investigation.
Police say the victim has been updated and continues to be supported.
