Man arrested after crash on the A38 near Tewkesbury

Six people have been injured in the incident last night

A man has been arrested after a crash near Tewkesbury left six people needing hospital attention.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the A38 between the junction of B412 and Highfield Business Park at around 8.30pm on Saturday night.

The accident involved a grey Nissan Qashqai and a black Ford Focus.

Six people had to be taken to hospital at the Gloucestershire Royal, where they are receiving treatment for suspected broken bones and cuts and bruising.

The driver of one of the vehicles, a 30 year old man, has since been arrested on suspicion of driving over the legal limit of alcohlol, and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Officers want anyone who has dashcam, or who witnessed anything, to come forward. Gloucestershire Police can be contacted on 101 quoting incident number 402 of 11 November.
