Police have discovered a large cannabis factory in the centre of Gloucester.

More than 2,300 plants were being grown in a disused building in Eastgate Street - with a street value of up to £2 million.

Officers forced entry to the building yesterday.

A 42-year-old man, of no fixed abode, has been arrested on suspicion of the manufacture and production of a Class B drug and remains in police custody.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.
