Man arrested for firing taser at women in Tewkesbury

It happened outside the Co-Op in Northway last Saturday

A man's been arrested as part of an investigation into the assault of a women in Tewkesbury.

Police were called to Tewkesbury last Saturday morning after the woman reported that she met a man outside Co-Op in Northway at around 2.30am

The man allegedly used a Taser/stun device - which was concealed as a black torch - on her three times causing her to fall to the floor.

She also reported that the man kicked her and stole £60.

The 37-year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a prohibited firearm before being released on police bail.
