Man arrested after altercation on Southgate Street
Officers are appealing for information.
A man remains in hospital with serious injuries after an altercation on Southgate Street over the weekend, with an arrest made.
Officers were called at around 11.15pm on Saturday night to the area outside The Whitesmiths Arms.
The 28 year old victim hit his head on the pavement after being punched.
Gloucestershire police said:
"Officers would now like to speak to anybody who may have witnessed the events leading up to the incident and who has not already spoken to police.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary through the website, quoting incident 532 of 29 June"
