A man has admitted murdering a woman in Gloucester earlier this year.
28-year-old Zanele Sibanda was stabbed multiple times near Tarrington Street in Tredworth in the early hours of August 27th.
Tanaka Zivanai, who is 32 and of Dora Walk in Tredworth, has pleaded guilty to murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
He appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Wednesday 27th November by video link from prison.
Police had been called to the junction of Paul Street and Tarrington Road in Tredworth at around 1.45am on Tuesday 27th August with a report that a man had attacked a woman.
Zivanai had stabbed Zanele multiple times, and despite the best efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was arrested and charged the following day
He will be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on January 14th 2025.
