Work to the M5 in Gloucestershire won't be hit by delays
The government have announced a number of National Highways schemes have been hit by delays - but it won't affect our area

Highways chiefs say the A417 missing link and improvements to junction 10 of the M5 are unaffected by the delays to road projects recently announced by the Government.
Secretary of State for Transport Mark Harper announced on March 15 that several National Highways projects would be delayed with a knock-on effect across forthcoming five-year spending strategies.
However, the major road projects in Gloucestershire are not affected by this announcement.
National Highways have confirmed that the A417 Missing Link scheme is unaffected and will be going ahead as planned.
The Secretary of State for Transport gave the Missing Link project the go-ahead in November last year.
No challenges were made to this decision and National Highways say they have been working hard behind the scenes to make sure we are ready to start construction in autumn 2023.
Likewise, Gloucestershire County Council’s improvement scheme for junction 10 of the M5 is still ongoing and a development consent order application is being submitted.
Shire Hall has confirmed they have no schemes currently being stopped or slowed due to funding.
If successful, the council’s proposals will see significant improvements to the motorway junction, a new road linking junction 10 to West Cheltenham and widening of the A4019 Tewkesbury Road.
