Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Lydney earlier this month which left a man with facial injuries.

The incident occurred at around 8.45am on Sunday 5 October on Par Four Lane.

It was reported that a man approached another man who was sitting in his parked car.

The suspect allegedly grabbed the victim’s car keys, made verbal threats, and then punched him through the open car window before fleeing the scene in a silver Volkswagen Golf.

The victim sustained facial injuries as a result of the assault.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the assault or seen the silver Golf leaving the scene to come forward.

Police are also asking motorists or residents with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the incident to contact them as part of the investigation.
