Part of Gloucestershire Airport has been closed after an incident involving a light aircraft.

It happened around 1.40pm.

Emergency services are at the scene.

In a statement, airport bosses said the Air Accident Investigation Branch and the Civil Aviation Authority have been informed.

Gloucestershire Police said in a statement: "Emergency services were called to a report of an incident involving an aircraft at Gloucestershire Airport in Staverton at around 1.10pm today, Tuesday 18 March.

"It was reported that an aircraft had made an emergency landing. Nobody was believed to have been seriously injured.

"All services currently remain at the scene."
