Light aircraft in emergency landing on A40 in Gloucestershire
It has come down on the A40 near Cheltenham.

A light aircraft came down on the A40 near Cheltenham yesterday (11 August).
Gloucestershire Airport said the pilot made an emergency landing on the road just before 6pm, because of an engine failure.
The aircraft came down on the Golden Valley bypass near Staverton, which links Gloucester and Cheltenham.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue recovered the plane. Luckily, no-one was injured and no other vehicles were involved.
The road has now re-opened.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch have now launched an investigation into exactly what went wrong.
In a statement, Gloucestershire Airport said: "We’re aware that a pilot has had to perform an emergency landing on a public highway due to a suspected engine failure.
We’re currently investigating to understand exactly what happened and why and will provide more information when we have it. Our priority right now is ensuring everyone’s wellbeing."
Gloucestershire Police added: "We were called shortly before 6pm today (Thursday) with a report a light aircraft had landed on the A40 Golden Valley.
No-one was injured and it is understood that no other vehicles were involved. Police remain at the scene at this time."
