Man arrested after woman assaulted in Cheltenham

A woman was taken to hospital after an assault in Cheltenham.
It happened outside a leisure centre on Tommy Taylors Lane in Cheltenham around 9.15pm last night.
A man aged in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
The victim is in hospital in a stable condition.
In a statement, Gloucestershire Police said: “Police were called at about 9.15pm last night (Thursday 9 March) with a report of an assault outside a leisure centre on Tommy Taylors Lane in Cheltenham.
"Officers attended the scene along with paramedics from the ambulance service and a woman was taken to hospital."
