A jury has been sworn to try eight youths accused of the murder of a teenager.

Ramarni Crosby, 16, suffered fatal stab wounds during an incident in Gloucester in December 2021.

The teenager, known as Marni, who was from the Frampton upon Severn area of the county, died at the scene of the alleged attack in Stratton Road.

The youths - aged between 16 and 20 - are accused of the teenager's murder and are due to stand trial at Bristol Crown Court.

A ninth defendant, Keishaleigh Margrett-Whitter, 20, also faces trial accused of two counts of assisting an offender.

A jury of six men and six women have been selected to hear the case before High Court judge Mrs Justice Cutts.

Adam Vaitilingam KC is due to open the case for the Crown on Wednesday.

The judge told the jury the trial could last up to nine weeks.
