Cotswolds quarry rave keeps angry locals "up all night"
One resident claimed they could feel their home vibrate
Daglingworth residents were kept "up all night" when an illegal rave started in the local quarry.
Cotswolds Police tweeted at 2:23am (20th January) that they had shut entrances to the quarry in an attempt to close down the rave.
"Entrances are closed from the A417 and Welsh Way" they posted, adding "revellers are warned to stay away."
Despite efforts to shut down the illegal party, residents tweeted that music continued throughout the night.
One user said they could feel their "homes vibrate", and another complained they had to leave for work "with zero hours sleep."
Local councillor, Paul Hodgkinson, confirmed he had received several complaints on the issue: "What is happening with this please? I’ve had complaints from residents and this has now been going on for over 7 hours!"
Police worked throughout the night to safely remove revellers, and were still closing down the rave at 11am - almost 9 hours after the evacuation began.
Cotswolds Police tweeted this for residents: "We'd like to thank the local community for their patience and understand the impact an event like this can have."
