Police are appealing for information after burglars removed a window before flooding a property in Stroud.

The incident happened on Highfield Road last month when an attempt was made to force open the bathroom window of a house.

A kitchen window was then removed from the back of the house. Although nothing appeared to have been stolen, the kitchen tap was turned on, resulting in the property being flooded.

The kitchen window has not been found.

The owners of the property were away from Wednesday 16 March until Wednesday 23 March, and the incident could have happened at any time between those dates.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information, or who may have CCTV and who has not spoken to police yet, to come forward. They would also like to speak to anybody who may have discovered a window that has been discarded nearby.

Anybody who can help should contact Gloucestershire Constabulary through the website, quoting incident 274 of 23 March.
