Hollie Gazzard was killed 11 years ago at her workplace in Gloucester by her boyfriend.

In the years since her death her family have built the Hollie Gazzard Trust in her name and have helped victims and survivors of domestic abuse across the UK.

The charity have also set up the ‘Hollie Guard’ personal safety app and are committed to tackling violence against women and girls.

Nick Gazzard, founder of The Hollie Gazzard Trust said: “when we set up the trust back in 2014 we just wanted to help one person

“We could never have dreamt how big the trust has got and the impact that it’s had.”

To mark the anniversary her family are asking people to light a candle this evening at 6:51, the time that she passed.

People are asked to do this in memory of not just Hollie but all those who are victims and survivors of domestic abuse.

Her father Nick Gazzard said: “I’m sure Hollie would be looking down on us now and be very proud

“I know what she would be like she would be very proud of what’s happening

“but she’d still be on my shoulder saying get on with it you’ve got a job to do there’s still lots of people out there suffering so get out and do as much as you can to help those individuals.”

In the 2025 New Year’s Honours List Nick was awarded an OBE for all of his work in tackling violence against women and girls and says he will continue to work with the government to help half the number of incidents in the next 10 years.
