Police appeal for screwdriver assault victim to contact them
Officers are concerned for his welfare after reportedly sustaining facial injury
Police are concerned for the welfare of a man who was assaulted with a screwdriver in Gloucester in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The incident happened at Andy Cars on Eastgate Street at about ten past four in the morning. The victim reportedly sustained a puncture wound to his cheek after a man used the tool to stab him in the face.
Officers say they would like to trace the man to check on his injury and ensure he is safe and well.
A man in his 40s has been arrested suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Officers would also like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any relevant mobile phone or CCTV footage.
