Stage 6 of the Tour of Britain has been cancelled out of respect

Events across Gloucestershire have been cancelled out of respect for HRH Queen Elizabeth II. After the announcement from Buckingham Palace the Tour of Britain decided to call off its sixth stage which was set to start in Tewkesbury.
The Tour of Britain later confirmed that all remaining stages in Dorset and on the Isle of Wight would not go ahead. The final standing will be taken form the conclusion of stage five, handing victory to Spanish cyclist Gonzalo Serrano.
In addition to the Tour of Britain, Gloucestershire Pride which was meant to take place on Saturday 10th of September has also been postponed.
Some events are going ahead, the Longleat Sky Safari will begin on Friday but the morning events have been cancelled due to poor weather.
