Cheltenham Town Football Club have called for volunteers to come down to their stadium to help clear the pitch.

Over the weekend the The Completely-Suzuki Stadium was left covered in snow.

As temperatures dropped below freezing the ground and surrounding areas are at risk of being unsafe for fans, making their game against Chelsea Under 21s in doubt.

In addition, the groundskeeper will be busy making sure that The Robins final EFL Trophy knockout tie can go ahead and the pitch is playable.

Appealing for help in a tweet the club said, "CTFC are after any volunteers who can help clear the ground and surrounding areas from 10am tomorrow.

"If volunteers could also bring their own shovels and wheelbarrows too that would be greatly appreciated."

If the ice and snow is cleared and the referee gives the game the go ahead, Cheltenham Town FC will face Chelsea's Under 21s at 7pm tonight.
