A man's died in a two-vehicle crash in Birdlip.
It happened just after 5.30am on the B4070.
The driver of one of the cars - a man in his 50s - from Cheltenham, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man aged in his 30s and from the Cotswolds has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and he remains in custody.
Police say the road between Buckholt Road and the A417 is likely to remain closed for some time - motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
