Gloucestershire's sporting community pay tribute to HRH Queen Elizabeth II

Sporting figures from Gloucestershire have been paying their respects to HRH Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away yesterday (08/09) at the age of 96.

Gloucester City FC shared that everyone at the club joins the nation in mourning the passing of Her Majesty.

League One club Cheltenham Town have offered their condolences to the Royal Family at this time.

Elsewhere, Forest Green Rovers, who are also in League One have shared a tribute online, where they simply thanked Her Majesty.

Cheltenham Racecourse, which hosts the annual Cheltenham Festival shared a message from the Jockey Club - who offered their "heartfelt" condolences to King Charles III and all members of the Royal Family.
