Police were called to Tewkesbury High Street at around 9.45pm on Saturday with a report that a woman had been walking down the path when the rear passenger of a passing car rolled the window down and fired at her with a BB gun.

The victim said she felt a plastic pellet hit her near the nose causing a small red mark. She described the man who aimed at her as being a white man in his early 20s who had light coloured hair.

The car was described as a navy blue BMW estate and the driver put their foot down and sped off towards Mythe Bridge after the incident happened.

A number of people were in the area at the time and officers are asking anyone with information, who saw the car or may also have been targeted to make contact.
