Police search continues for a man seen falling into the River Wye

A search for a man thought to have fallen into the River Wye is entering a third day.

Police were called at 6.35pm on Monday (20 May) with a report that a man had fallen into the River Wye and had not resurfaced.

Gloucestershire Police are leading the search operation with support from police helicopters, the Gwent force and the coastguard.

Officers are currently in the area of Wyebank Way in Tutshill, Chepstow following concerns for the welfare of a man.

Searches are continuing to take place today along with colleagues from Gwent Police, the Coastguard and National Police Air Service.
