Gloucestershire Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to, following an assault on Boxing Day in Gloucester which resulted in another man requiring hospital treatment.

The man police are trying to identify is believed to have travelled from Swindon and attempted to gain access to a block of flats on Claremount Road, where he was not a resident.

When this was refused, the man pulled the victim - aged in his 40s - into the street and punched him in the face, causing injuries which required hospital treatment.

Following CCTV enquiries, investigating officers would now like to speak to the man pictured above in connection with the incident.

It happened at around 1.42am on Saturday 26 December. The man police want to identify is thought to be white and around 6ft in height.

Anyone who may know the man pictured, or who witnessed the incident, is asked to submit information online using the 'update a crime report' form on the Constabulary's website referencing CR/42905/20: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/.
