Gloucestershire police have now confirmed the ages of the four men who died in the collision, but are yet to confirm their names.

The incident was discovered on Sunday morning at around 2am when officers out on patrol found a Renault Clio had left the road and collided with a tree.

Local people and councillors are now calling for safety improvements to be made on the A436.

Councillor Paul Hodgkinson tells us he's been calling for changes to the road for years, he said:

"Local people in Coberley and Ullenwood have constantly raised their safety concerns about the road with me. And as a result we have requested a lower speed limit and changes to road junctions."

Meanwhile, a spokesperson from Gloucestershire County Council, said:

"As with any incident of this kind we will conduct a review along with other agencies and take the necessary action where needed."

Anyone who has any information about the crash, or has any dashcam footage from the area at the time, has been asked to contact police.
