South African team, Hollywoodbets Sharks beat Gloucester Rugby 22-36 in the European Challenge Cup final, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Despite winning the Premiership Rugby Cup in March, Gloucester Rugby will not be adding the Challenge Cup trophy to their silverware collection.

It was a historic game for the club with Sharks being from South Africa - after Southern Hemisphere clubs were invited to the competition a few years ago.

Tonight was the first time a Southern Hemisphere side has reached the final of the European Challenge Cup.

The Sharks had a team full of big names including their captain Ebun Etzebeth who helped South Africa win the Rugby World Cup last year.

Victory means the Sharks will play in the Champion Cup next season.
