Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue warn of wildfire risk
They have released advice amidst continued bouts of dry and hot weather.
Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service have issued advice due to fear of wildfires in the county.
They have said that the hot and dry weather has heightened the risk of a wildfire.
Last month, wildfires broke out at Juniper Hill in the Slad Valley. The areas sustained considerable damage affecting nesting birds, mammals, and reptiles beginning to emerge from hibernation.
They have issued an advice video on their social media accounts advising people of measures they can take to avoid wildfires.
They say to avoid the use of disposable barbecues, campfires, and to make sure no litter is left behind after a picnic.
The service also say to call 999 immediately if there is any sign of a fire and not to assume someone else has already made the call.
