Huge fire at Bishop Cleeve recycling centre

Warning to residents to keep windows and doors closed.

A fire has erupted at Grundon Waste Management in Bishops Cleeve overnight.

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at 8.45pm.

Four fire engines were sent to the scene, along with the water carrier. Two compactors at the site were on fire and residents in the area have been advised to keep doors and windows closed due to the smoke.

The fire was put out at 1.42pm.
