A 14-year-old boxer from Gloucester has been signed to represent Bahrain.

Jayden Price is a talented young boxer who has already won a number of medals in the sport and is hoping he can add one of the biggest medals in the sport on to that list.

Jayden, who trains at Truth Boxing Club, has the chance to compete for Bahrain in the 2028 LA Olympics.

After competing in the European Championships last year, the country reached out looking to sign him with contracts officially being signed last month.

Jayden and his father described how this offer is not about the money but the opportunities that it will provide him within the sport in the future and the ability to travel the world and compete.

Jayden told Greatest Hits Radio “They’re going to be supporting me a lot more because obviously the funding side of it.

“Also, it means I can go around the world competing a lot more not just in Europe but over the world, I can go to America.

“That’s every amateur boxer’s dream, to go to the Olympics and hopefully win the gold.

“So obviously it would be a great experience.

“This is going to benefit me because obviously going around the world travelling, gaining lots of experience.

“And then in about 20 years times hopefully I can be retired, former world champion and be very comfortable.”
