Police release CCTV images of wanted man after rape in Gloucester

Officers are looking for the man after a woman was raped on London Road

Gloucestershire Police have released CCTV images in connection with the rape of a woman in Gloucester city centre.

The incident is believed to have taken place in the early hours of Saturday morning (December 21st) as a woman was walking along London Road.

The man is believed to have approached the woman and carried the rape against her.

At around 4am, the woman was approached by the man, when the sexual assault took place.

The victim then went to the police to report the incident and, following lines of enquiry, images of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the attack have been released.

Those who may know who the man is or may recognise him are being urged to get in touch as soon as possible.

Anyone who may recognise the man is being urged to speak with police as soon as possible.

Anyone who may have been in the area at the time and seen anything suspicious is also being particularly welcomed by the force.

Members of the public who may have any relevant information relating to the case can speak to officers by calling 101 and quoting incident reference number 68 from December 21st.
