A police officer from Gloucester's due in court charged with driving police vehicles whilst disqualified

26 year-old Pc Miles Caffull, is charged with three counts of driving while disqualified - and three counts of using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.

The charges cover the period from May 26 to June 16 and include the use of police vehicles while on duty.

He's due in court tomorrow.

A force spokeswoman said: "Pc Caffull was suspended from duty in June this year, when he disclosed the speeding offences and his disqualification to the Constabulary.

"He was charged following an investigation by the Constabulary's Professional Standards Department and remains subject to ongoing misconduct proceedings."
