Gloucester’s Labour MP Alex McIntyre says being an MP for Gloucester the past year has been a ‘whirlwind’.

It’s as one year ago today we found out the results of the general election and that Labour were back in power after 14 years of conservative control.

Alex McIntyre told Greatest Hits Radio: “It’s been a whirlwind of a year, a lots changed.

“We’ve already seen our waiting lists at Gloucestershire royal come down by 90% for the people who have been waiting the longest.

“We’ve seen more community police officers, uniformed police officers on the streets, and we’ve seen investment in Eastgate market.

“Lots done but so much more to do.”

He added: “It’s been a really fantastic year, it’s the privilege of my life to be the MP for Gloucester and I’m really looking forward to the coming years as well.”
