Following an appeal earlier this afternoon in connection with an incident in Gloucester, a man has now been arrested.

Police had asked for information to locate a man they wanted to speak to in relation to a suspected attempted murder at a property on Cromwell Street in the early hours of Tuesday 24 December.

A 32-year-old man from Tewkesbury subsequently handed himself in and has been arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.

Officers would like to thank the public for sharing the appeal.
