Gloucester man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

A man's been arrested and taken into police custody on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Gloucester earlier this weekend.

Gloucestershire Police say they were called to a property on Hatherley Road on Friday night (December 29), shortly before 11pm to reports that a man had been wounded.

A 38-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, whilst the victim was rushed to hospital.

The victim was taken to Southmead for treatment of his non-life threatening wounds before being transferred to Bristol Royal Infirmary.

Investigations into what happened continue, and anyone with information is asked to complete their online form quoting incident 404 of 29 December.

Officers add a scene guard remains in place at the property while investigations continue.
