Gloucester-Hartpury scored a 34-19 victory over Exeter Chiefs at their home pitch on Saturday (24th June).

The win makes the team the first non-London club to win the Premier 15s final.

The victory was won in front of a record crowd of almost 10,000 in the stands.

The iconic Kingsholm stadium was rebranded "Queensholm" after the ladies' success.

Four different players scored tries for Gloucester.

Kelsey Jones scored her eighth try of the campaign at the start of the match but the lead was lost briefly when Exeter edged ahead through Emily Tuttosi and a Liv McGoverne conversion.

Rachel Lund and Sarah Beckett helped to claw back a 17-7 half-time lead.

Lisa Neumann's score won Gloucester the title, just six minutes before the final whistle.

With a Cherry and Whites victory in front of a record crowd, Gloucester fans have been calling the win a 'historic' day for women's rugby.
