Water back after burst pipe in Gloucester
Severn Trent say supplies are back to the area
Severn Trent Water say supplies should be back to homes in Gloucester this morning, after a burst pipe flooded a whole road and caused disruption to residents and businesses.
Residents in the GL19 area have been suffering from problems, including no water, since the pipe burst yesterday afternoon, and Gloucester Royal Hospital was forced to switch to water reserves, and to ask staff to bring in their own water.
In order to prevent any properties flooding, Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service were called in to pump the water away from homes and businesses.
Severn Trent say water supplies are now back, but that water pressure may vary throughout the next few days as the attempt to fix the pipe.
