Appeal to trace possible victims of firework attack
Teenagers were seen throwing fireworks at people in Cheltenham earlier this month
Police have asked for help in tracing the possible victims of a firework attack in Cheltenham town centre earlier this month.
Officers were called at around 2.45pm on Saturday 9 November with a report that a group of teenagers had let off fireworks inside an address on the High Street.
A short time later, at around 3.20pm, a teenage boy matching the same description as one of the group, was seen on CCTV throwing a firework at a family in the Brewery Quarter.
He then attempted to run from police.
It is believed that the firework may have gone off close to a child and officers are now trying to trace the family to check their welfare.
Officers have released CCTV images of the potential victims and are urging them, or anyone who recognises them, to come forward.
A 14-year-old boy from Lichfield was arrested on suspicion of two counts of throwing a firework in a public place. He has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
