A Gloucester councillor who ran an illegal puppy farm is to be sentenced next month - after police raided his home and found more than 25 dogs there.
Alistair Chambers admitted to two Animal Welfare Act offences for breeding and selling dogs without a licence after appearing in court last year.
The 42-year-old independent councillor from Quedgeley is set to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on the 20th of December.
Chambers, who was elected as a Conservative, is currently an Independent member of Gloucester City Council, representing the Matson, Robinswood and White City ward.
However, he sits as an Independent Conservative representing the Coney Hill and Matson division of Gloucestershire County Council.
