Officers are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Gloucester earlier this week.

Police were called to Park Road at around 9am on Tuesday (4th February) to reports a woman had assaulted another woman.

It's alleged that the victim had been walking past the offender, who was sitting on the floor, when she jumped up, smacked her in the face and pulled her hair.

The victim was uninjured but shaken by what happened.

The suspect was described as being tall, of a slim build, had red hair and was wearing a long red puffer jacket with dark coloured trousers and trainers.

Officers are appealing to speak to any witnesses or anyone with any CCTV/dashcam/mobile phone footage that may help with their investigations.
