Forest Green Rovers' Duncan Ferguson has left his role as the club's Head Coach.

The former Scottish International joined The Vegans after Ian Burchnall was relieved of his duties.

Arriving at the New Lawn Stadium in January, Ferguson took charge of the club as they sat bottom of League One without a win in 7 games.

He was unable to save the club from relegation, but fans will remember him for leading his side to a famous victory against eventual playoff winners, Sheffield Wednesday.

"Very difficult decision to make." - Chairman Dale Vince

Chairman, Dale Vince, says "It’d been a privilege to work with Dunc these last few months and this was a very difficult decision to make.

I’m grateful to Dunc for joining us in such difficult circumstances and for all of his hard work at the club.

"But I feel this is overall the right decision for everyone and I wish Dunc well in his next coaching role. We are parting as friends. You can’t ask for much more than that."
