The Rovers secured the historic promotion just five years after entering the EFL, and the draw takes them higher in the English football pyramid than they’ve ever been in their 133-year history.

A goalless draw against Bristol Rovers on Saturday (23 April) secured FGR's place in League One.

FGR have sat at the top of League Two for most of the season - with 23 wins.

There was big celebrations from fans in and out of the stadium at the final whistle.

They'll face Swindon Town tomorrow (26 April) at the County Ground.

They joined the Football League for the first time in 2017, following a 3-1 success over Tranmere Rovers in the National League play-off final at Wembley.

In 2017, FIFA described FGR as ‘the greenest football club in the world’. The Gloucestershire team are the first and only vegan football club and the first to be certified as carbon neutral by the United Nations.
