The campaign runs until next Tuesday (5/11).

They’re hoping to raise £13,000. If they reach this figure, donations will be matched by the Together Fund, meaning they could raise a total of £26,000.

The impact of the COVID-19 lockdown and the cost-of-living crisis has caused a huge increase in demand on the foodbank.

They stated this money is vital for keeping people fed this winter.

Donations have also decreased meaning the foodbank is having to buy in food.

Shauna Booker, the Food Logistics Manager there said: “We’re definitely seeing a lot more people than we used to.

"In October we fed 1511 people.

“Since February we’ve seen a big decrease in what we’d be getting compared to last year, so we’ve had to buy in a lot more food than we have in previous years.

“We’re giving out about double what we’re getting in through donations.”
