Five men charged with Cheltenham burglaries

Two stores were broken into in the town

Five males have been charged in connection with burglaries at clothing stores in Cheltenham earlier this week.

Two burglaries took place on Monday evening (17 January) where damage was caused and items were stolen.

All five males have been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of receiving stolen goods. Those charged are:

• Marcus Suniga, 22 and of Priory Avenue in Whitley Bay, Tyne & Wear

• Vinny Smith, 20 and of Moors Avenue, Cheltenham

• Michael Smith, 20 and of Vittoria Walk, Cheltenham

• Latrel Hylton, 18 and of Bennington Street, Cheltenham

• A 16-year-old boy from Cheltenham

The adults were remanded in custody and the teenager, who cannot be named due to his age, was released on police bail following charge.

They are all due to attend Cheltenham Magistrates' Court today, Thursday 20 January.
