One man dies and another in critical condition following crash in Brockworth

It happened on Whittle Way at 11.30pm last night

One man has died and another man is in a critical condition in hospital after a crash in Brockworth.

It happened close to the entrance of Tesco, occurred shortly before 11.30pm and involved a Mercedes car.

The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 30s and from Brockworth, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.

The passenger, a man in his 30s and also from Brockworth, was taken to Southmead Hospital after sustaining injuries which were serious but not life threatening. His next of kin is also aware

Delta Way is closed up to Whittle Way on the side near Hucclecote as officers carry out a forensic investigation.

Officers say this could take all morning.

The Tesco superstore is still open to customers and staff and can be accessed from Golf Club Lane and Ermin Street.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard the incident and who has not already spoken to police.
