Two people have been arrested, with drugs and a vehicle seized, during an operation in Gloucester city centre.
Extra officers went out on patrol there and around the docks on Saturday night (29th March).
It was part of Operation Comet, which aims of tackle offending targeting the night-time economy.
A 29 year old man from Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug, and released under investigation.
A second person was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
Officers also seized cannabis, Class A drugs and nitrous oxide canisters, along with a vehicle suspected of being used in criminal activity.
A driver was fined for using a phone while behind the wheel and three people were given community resolutions for possession of cannabis.
Sergeant Oliver Padfield, of the Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:
"Our officers had a huge amount of positive engagement from the public and door staff on Saturday night. As a result of being out, we have been able to build on good relationships with those involved in the night-time economy.
"Our aim was to discourage people intent on committing offences from coming into Gloucester and I believe that our presence this weekend has done just that.
"People were pleased to see us and we feel our presence gave a strong reassurance to everyone out in Gloucester."
