Drug dealer jailed for county lines activity in Cheltenham

A man's been jailed for four years, for his involvement in county lines drug dealing in Cheltenham.
25 year old George Mahon, formerly of Hygrove Lane in Minsterworth, has been sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and acquire/use/possess criminal property.
Police investigated reports of someone using several mobile phones to send bulk text messages offering drugs for sale in Cheltenham and discovered Mahon had used three separate phone number consecutively between October 2024 and February 2025.
During that time, nearly 11,200 messaged were sent, indicative of drug supply.
Mahon was in possession of a burner phone he was arrested, which contained messages about cocaine sales.
Searches of Mahon's home address and vehicles also uncovered £16,990 in cash.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: "It is clear by the number of bulk text messages sent that Mahon was intent on selling drugs to as many people as possible.
"He gained thousands of pounds from this and used the money to buy designer clothes for himself and others.
"This case is yet another example of how tirelessly we are working to disrupt those who think they can deal drugs in Gloucestershire."
