The road was shut after a fatal four vehicle collision on Wednesday night
Road closures remain in place on the A417 between Maisemore and the A40 Over roundabout following a fatal collision on Wednesday (22 June).
The collision was reported to police shortly after 10.30pm and involved two motorcycles and two cars.
One of the motorcyclists, a man aged in his 50s, died at the scene. His next of kin is aware. Two other people attended hospital to be checked over.
The road closure is expected to still be in place during the morning's rush hour and motorists are therefore advised to use an alternative route.

A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving a vehicle while under the influence of drugs in connection with the incident. He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Investigating officers continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision, has dashcam footage, or who has any information which could assist the investigation and has not already spoken to police to come forward.
