Concerns have been raised about parking issues and noise pollution

Dozens of people are opposing plans to build 122 homes in Cheltenham which they fear will cause havoc in an area already struggling with parking problems.
Aster Homes Ltd wants permission to develop The Folly, north of Swindon Road.
The site is owned by the University of Gloucestershire who previously used the greenfield site for British Universities and Colleges Sport fixtures.
Their proposal includes a housing mix that varies from one bed maisonettes to four bed houses, with the development being affordable led through a mixture of shared ownership and homes for rent.
They say the project aims to provide modern affordable homes, meeting modern efficiency standards, whilst providing good quality public open space.
And key to their ambitions with this site has been to ensure our open space plan, landscaping and planting proposal is diverse and robust.
But dozens of people have objected to the proposals and concerns have been raised that it will cause "havoc" in an area already struggling with parking problems.
One resident said
"We are worried about the development of the Folly and the amount of houses to be built on the Folly Playing Fields.
"Public access is already very difficult and very congested. Parking is also at a premium on all the surrounding streets and roads.
"The amount of houses planned will also create more noise pollution and havoc in such a concentrated area.
"We feel that this not only poses a hazard to other motorists but also to pedestrians and pupils as there is a primary school so close to the proposed development site and the animal shelter parking and access.
"This is such a major concern."
People have until September 10 to have their say on the proposals and can do so by searching for application 24/00399/FUL on Cheltenham Borough Council’s planning portal.
